My name is Charles M. Tolbert, and I am a visionary as well as mentor. Since the beginning of my life, I’ve been a day dreamer, envisioned myself in many places and doing things I thought wasn’t possible. Although I dreamed of getting a college education, getting married and having children, and making a certain amount of money in my lifetime, I just didn’t realize it was really possible until I did it! Like writing books, who ever knew it was in me until I dreamed, I was a public speaker, book author and a cook! Some mistake it as premonition, but I say it is a God gift to dream and vision something bigger than you! Like many, I went through many ups and downs, but it was my downs I’ve learned to get up to appreciate the setbacks that taught character. After accomplishing a college degree in business, receiving various certifications as a Chef, and a public speaker in big forums, I now can add to my life two books published and many more to come!
My name is Brandon DeGraffenreaidt and I’m a Financial Educator with WealthWave. We help families to grow, save and protect their funds to live a recession proof life. I’m a graduate of Chatham Central High, also attended North Carolina A&T State where I studied Business Administration. I’m inspired daily by my wife and 3 children. I enjoy coaching youth sports, attending college/pro games and listening to music.

In life there's a fine line between ones perception and the actual reality. For young children it is very easy for them to create their own version of what reality is due to their limited knowledge and exposure to life. This book is a short story that is based on the perception of a 7 year old boy and his understanding of why he is entering the foster care system and what that process was like for him. This book was written to shed light on the foster care experience for children and their perception of why and how they sometimes feel going through this process. You are not alone !
This book is the story of a young girl lost who bases all of her decisions on how she feels. You can definitely say she follows her heart and lives life on the edge. Will she continue to let her life spiral out of control? Or will she find God in her darkness?

Being raised by an African- American mother has been the most rewarding, yet challenging experience. Often times when conflict was introduced to the home solutions would be created in a instance. My mother always said "its the techniques of survival learned early on by our ancestors". Yet, restoration always seemed to be the elephant in the room. This children's story was created to display a healthy example of learning from lessons but also restoring the relationships in the moment.
